When you devote $1500 on a piece of technology you've certain assumptions and expectations about it. You do your analysis the top you can and hope that your obtain will be everything you hoped it could be. Occasionally, you are thrown for a loop and presented with some challenges which you did not anticipate. That is what happened to me when I picked up this excellent Tv. My old Sony LCD did not have HDMI ports, so I was relegated to the spaghetti bowl of component hookups to accomplish high definition. I just had to have a Tv with HDMI, so when I was finally within the market place I knew it would must be at the very least 46", LCD or something comparable, full 1080p, and have a lot of HDMI ports on it. I purchased this television as a pc monitor. I wanted it because of the LCD backlight, built in speakers, and huge screen, for a laptop or computer monitor. When I purchased it my pc had not yet been built so I hooked it up to my cable box and WOW what a fantastic image! Granted I was coming from an old CRT tv but hey this thing was really impressive! It's quite customizable and could be set on preset settings also. It worked excellent to replace a 1981 circa Magnavox in my bedroom. I employed it for a couple of weeks as a tv and when my personal computer came in I switched it to a personal computer monitor. (More Detail...)

Initial of all this Tv has great attributes. Till now most of the Sony TVs are matte finish screens that are non-reflective. Despite the fact that Sony TVs are the top but when compared to Samsung, Sony has been lacking a bit crispiness and black levels in the picture. Now Sony with this OptiContrast panel has overcome the shadow of Samsung in picture crispiness and black levels. The picture processing is amazing with brighter picture and exceptional black levels. The black color is actual black not blue black like just before. I've connected typical DVD player and Blu-ray player to this Tv. I've compared 1080/24P (Blu-ray) picture vs 1080/60P (DVD). I've performed this test using the movies Inception, The Dark Night and Shrek. The DVD image top quality nearly matched with Blu-ray picture quality. Black levels, image consistency and remarkable crispness happen to be achieved through the OptiContrast panel and X-Reality Engine. Blu-ray movies are amazing with this Tv but DVD movies are no much less. It is possible to rent DVDs from Redbox and enjoy the Blu-ray image good quality. (Review More...)

I purchased this Television from Amazon per week ago and so far I am enjoying it very considerably. It really is my 3rd LCD flat screen more than virtually as several years as they've been out there. This is far better the 1 I purchased 2 years ago. The picture is outstanding, nearly too great. Many people who watch it with me say it looks too actual and not like a Television and shows detail you were not meant to see. I do not take into account that a negative. The Wise Television assortment of alternatives including Samsung Apps are fairly good and extensive but sadly don't incorporate Amazon which tempted me to knock the rating down to four stars. The set up and use of the apps as well as other functions just isn't as intuitive as it might be and that most likely does knock the rating down to 4 and half stars. Several of the Apps like with apple ipod you need to buy, other people claim to be totally free but right after you connect you must pay a fee. (Read More...)

Whoah, I actually did my investigation on this 1 (I constantly do when I make enormous investments into issues that I plan on owning for a lengthy time) and I'm not disappointed!!! For those that do not know, LED TVs are arguably regarded as the best class of HDTVs (which includes LCD and plasma along with all of their variants) and this certain model I really feel is truly the very best in its class (thinking about all items: quality of picture, pricing, capabilities, and, in my humble opinion, size - I truly didn't need to have something bigger than about 40-something inches for my purposes).
